You don't know me, my family or our personal situations. I think if you did, you'd be very surprised. I rarely form a "strong opinion" without some type of personal experience.
"Someone is always easily offended" Easily so when a family has watched the torment someone goes through with mental health issues and the challenges of suicide.
Besides...they don't even know yet it was suicide!!!
What is so bad expressing that she feels bad that someone committed suicide or that suicide is permanent.
Besides almost everyone has had trying and emotionally upsetting experiences dealing with people with mental health issues and so that is a pretty irrational claim.
You really have no reason to be transferring things taking place in your own mind into her simple statements.
Another way to read it was that what happened was unfortunate.
It's a touchy subject for people to comment on because of the stigma that comes with it. Our society chooses to turn it's back on these issues yet continues to talk in hushed voices about how unfortunate suicide/mental health issues are. I'm guessing that is what the person posting was saying??
It is just a sad statement we care very little for the challenged residence that live in ours own lives and people are just besides themselves over some hollywood
I think everyone should take "mental health" days once in a while. Everyone should have a "BFF" they can confide in when all else fails. Everyone should seek the advice of a trained mental health professional at some point in their lives, if for no other reason than to understand themselves a little more and gain some tools for living a "mentally healthy" life.
I also think to throw a stone inside a glass house is setting yourself up for disaster. I made the comment it was too bad, and it IS too bad. Whether it was an accident or "on purpose", either way the untimely death of someone - ANYONE is "unfortunate" (aka "too bad").
I think many people care a heck of a lot more than people care to believe. And I'm surprised at how some people interpret other's words.

People can always comment easily about suicide when they have not had to personally deal with the issue in their family.
Someone is always offended...
Didn't seem like an easy comment, seemed like a comment.
Feel bad for the child he left behind if you feel bad about anyone.

I was sad to see him go.

This is all wierd, I actually had a dream last night that my brother commited suicide. That really hits home.
For anyone to say others can't comment on a situation they've never been through is just insane and completely against human nature.
I don't think anyone...yes anyone out there can say they've never commented on something that hasn't affected them.
Goat, Do you need to argue with everyone?
= )
Just people who get offended too easy over anything and everything.
I've heard many people say that they were suprised someone such as heath didn't outlive britney spears. That one was definitely not the first time
