Candy & I have done this 3 times; it is always hard. Dogs are always loyal, rarely complain, they greet you with a smile and are appreciative of the smallest of things. Very few humans have these traits...those dirty rotten rat bastards.
I'm truly sorry for your loss. It took a long time to earn her trust. Time well spent :-)
6 times for me starting at a very young age.
It never gets any easier, but the years of enjoyment are worth it every time.
I will probably keep re-dogging until they put me down.

Your other dog has to be feeling very lonely too. That's one thing I'm really not looking forward to in our future with having two dogs at the same time.

I'm so sorry this has happened. It made me really sad to see this. I hope you guys are doing alright.
I know my youngest dog was lonely after losing our oldest one. After a few months we decided to get another one, it was the best thing in the world for him and for us.
